Formatting for publishing.

I’m pretty excited, I’ll be getting the manuscript for ROTV hopefully this weekend.

Then the real works begins.

Mostly… the formatting. *eye twitch*

In traditional publishing, this isn’t as much of a headache. You have an experienced publishing house behind you who knows what they’re doing. They know how to set it up so a new chapter starts on a new page, makes sure everything is correct.

Then of course ebooks make it a whole different story, with how they can be reformatted by the reader at any time.

And this dear reader, is why I’m rocking in a corner right now.

Okay, not really, but still! I’ve never done this! I’m worried I’ll mess it all up! I’ve read several articles about how to, but this really seems like it’s going to be a trial by fire. And messing up Mark’s book is not how I want him to be remembered.

But I am going to figure it out. Even if it leaves me crying by my computer every night.

I hope it doesn’t. Someone recommended createspace to me and they said it’s really good at walking you through it. Soooo….. we’ll see.

Hope everyone is having a really good week.
